Additional prizes will also be awarded to the winners of the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 pools, while the first pool will follow the main ranking.

HOBBY EVENTS FORMAT:
SPEED PAINTING:
Speed Painting is a very nice competition that consists of painting a miniature that has been previously based and primed. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the theatrical release of The Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies, so the miniature will be taken from The Battle of the Five Armies.
What should I bring:
All the necessary materials for painting: paints, brushes, lamp, blotting paper, etc.; Contrast colors are allowed, but due to organizational and enclosed space issues it will not be possible to use airbrushes. There will be 30-45 minutes to finish one's work, at the end of which the painter must hand in the miniature; each participant must be good at managing himself in the various stages of painting. The entries will be judged by the Hobby Manager, who will determine the winner, along with the other Staff members.
Each participant may bring a miniature primed as he or she prefers (zenith granted) to choose from a dwarven warrior from the Iron Hills, an elf from Mirkwood (both rangers and warriors), an orc from Gundabad, a mercenary goblin, a Fell Warg or a survivor of Lake Town.
Alternatively, the staff will provide free of charge for those who do not have these miniatures or would like to try their hand at the challenge without purchasing miniatures 20 Mirkwood rangers only primed (no filing) in black (with airbrush).
GOLDEN RING:
The Golden Ring is the historic painting competition among Final participants that, unlike Speed Painting, features miniatures completed prior to the event competing.
Rules
-          It is preferable to bring Citadel (Games-Workshop) miniatures. Components that are not in the Citadel range may be sculpted. Miniatures from other manufacturers are allowed as long as they are clearly and unambiguously traceable to the Tolkien universe.
-          Each model submitted must mandatorily fall within a CATEGORY (see below). Each painter can submit only one model (or groups of models in the case of the category "Warband") per CATEGORY.
-          The main judging criterion is the quality of the painting; therefore, size and modifications are secondary to flawless painting technique.
-          The judges reserve the right to exclude miniatures from the competition if they do not conform to the competition or change them by category if the entry category is not correct. The decisions of the judges are final.
-          Models entered in this competition may not be withdrawn until its termination, so we advice not to use models that you will need to play with on the same days.
-          Models that have participated in other online and offline contests (CPT, SPC, past editions of the Golden Ring, etc...) are not allowed.
-          No display bases or dioramas are allowed-except in category 5 open.
-          It is permissible to bring plates/sheets/media of various kinds in which the painting techniques used are explained.
-          Each participant may win no more than 3 out of 6 physical prizes in the Golden Ring contest; "excess" prizes will be redistributed (while Hobby League points will still be awarded to the actual winners)
Categories
If you are in doubt about which category the model you want to enter belongs to, refer to its profile where, after the name and race is specified the type.
If nothing is indicated then it belongs to the category "Infantry Miniature", if it is indicated "Cavalry" it will belong to the category "Cavarly Miniature," finally, if the profile indicates "Monster" it will obviously belong to the "Monster" category. The Chariots and the palanquin of Emperor Esterling belong to the category "Monster" although nothing is specified in the profile. If you are in doubt you can of course ask for elucidation about it.
Category 1 - Infantry Miniature: Any single infantry miniature from the range Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit. The miniature must be built on the base plate provided in the package.
Category 2 - Cavalry miniature: Any single cavalry miniature from the Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit range. The miniature must be built on the base plate provided in the package.
Category 3 - Monster: Any single monster or chariot miniature from the range Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit. The miniature must be built on the base plate provided in the pack.
Category 4 - Warband: Any warband from the range The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit. The miniatures featured may range from a minimum of 5 models to a maximum of 13 and must be tied in game terms. Each warband must have an at least a hero in it. The miniatures must be built on the base plate provided in the package.
Category 5 - Open: Any model from the universe of The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit. Dioramas and/or duels may be featured in this category. The miniatures do not need to be mounted on the baseboard provided in the package.
Evaluation
Popular vote will determine the winners of the 5 categories. Participants in the Golden Ring will instead award the title of Absolute Winner by expressing a preference on the pieces in the competition (regardless of the category in which they compete).

Frequently asked questions
Q: Are there subcategories (such as beginners or masters) for each main category?
A: No
Q: Does one have to participate in all categories or can one decide to participate in only some?
A: Everyone is free to participate in as many categories as they want, then the more categories you participate in, the better.
Q: Can the submitted models have been painted even years ago for example?
A: The models can be painted long ago or be prepared for the occasion. They can (and we encourage you to) be visible WIPs on the forum. The only thing prohibited is the entry of models that have already participated in other competitions, on the Internet or not (see point 7).
Q: In case it is not possible to come, is it possible to entrust the competition miniatures to someone else?
A: No, in respect for those who show up, it is not possible to entrust miniatures to other people to compete.
Q: Are models such as the Mumak and Beast of Gorgoroth to be considered as individual monsters (and therefore eligible for entry in the "Monsters" category) or, since they have multiple models within them, do they count for the "War Bands" category?
A: If you bring the Mumak alone as well as the beast alone it will compete in the "Monster" category. If you enter miniatures above mounted on baseplates they will fall under the "War Bands" Category, but if the miniatures do not have a baseplate they will fall under the "Open" category as a diorama.
